A roof panel dislodged by strong winds forced players off the field at the Sydney Cricket Ground on Saturday afternoon, and caused delays to the Women's Big Bash League.

The roof panel is believed to have come loose from the north-east corner of the SCG, while Thunder players were warming up on that side of the ground.

Players were immediately sent off the ground and it does not appear that anyone was injured in the incident.

The SCG advised on its social media accounts that gates would remain closed and play delayed for the WBBL clash between the Sydney Sixers and Thunder because of a "maintenance issue".

The rogue roof panel caused a delay of an hour, with the WBBL match beginning at 3.30pm rather than at 2.30pm, as expected.

A BBL game between the Sydney Sixers and Thunder is scheduled for 7.20pm.

The SCG wrote there was no change to the BBL "start time at this stage", on its Twitter account on Saturday afternoon.

This projector screen lets you watch two (or more) movies at the same time .
You know, just as long as you have multiple projectors. In theory, MirraViz's screen is similar to one of those lenticular cards you probably played with as a kid. The difference is, the millions of optical elements embedded into the panel mean there's no actual limit to the number of videos you could display on it simultaneously. It ultimately just boils down to how many projectors you can squeeze around the panel.
