Nicholas Xenophon (né Xenophou; 29 January 1959) is an Australian politician who was a Senator for South Australia from 2008 to 2017. He was the leader of two political parties: Nick Xenophon Team federally, and Nick Xenophon 's SA -BEST in South Australia.

Mr Xenophon says he'll push for the work to be conducted at Lonsdale if his party holds the balance of power after the March 17 poll.

He said the plan would create much-needed jobs in the south and make available vital land for housing.
