Glenn Dyer TV Ratings A close night for the commercials, nothing to write home about for the ABCNine was let down by its new program One Night With My Ex. I can’t give you the national figure, but in the metros it averaged 353,000 from 9.10pm, which put it third and unwanted. It won’t last long. Ten’s I’m A Celebrity was also solid and looks to be doing better this year than in 2017. Ten debuted Hughsie We Have A Problem, but it dropped viewers from Celebrity which wasn’t a good look. Hughsie averaged 290,000 less than Celebrity. If that gap grows in coming weeks then Hughsie, we will have a problem. The ABC was not in sight.

It is the television series named and famed for one phrase only: "I'm A Celebrity … Get Me Out of Here!"

Network Ten has confirmed under the rules of the show, both in Australia and the UK, the phrase can be used by a celebrity to halt a challenge or leave the series.

How producers know which actual decision it is, when the words are uttered out loud randomly by a celebrity, is anybody's guess.

Clearly because the show is heavily edited to be condensed into its evening timeslot, some discussions must go on behind-the-scenes.

Are Matty Johnson and Laura Byrne joining I'm A Celebrity? Matty J’s Instagram story certainly got people guessing…"We're not going to replace him [Bernard] because you can't just replace like for like. We're not going to find another tennis player,' Channel Ten executive Stephen Tate explained.

Adventure, comedy, reality-tv. British reality series presented by Ant and Dec in which 12 celebrities are abandoned in the Australian jungle. In order to earn food, they must perform Bushtucker Trials which challenge them physically and mentally.

Adventure, reality-tv. Ten celebrities are abandoned in the Australian outback with only minimal means of survival, in order to raise money for charity.

Viewers do know, though, the phrase has been uttered out loud three times on-air already in this year's series of the Network Ten show. The first two times by Bernard Tomic - once in a challenge and once to leave the series - and the third time by American singer Tiffany Darwish (during a tucker trial), although she remains in the camp.

Anthony Mundine instead departed with the words "I'm The Man … Get Me Out of Here". The Project host Waleed Aly surely wasn't the only Australian who noticed Mundine did not use the official phrase to exit the jungle set.

"He didn't actually say the words, so does that mean he is still the competition?" Aly asked, jokingly, when the panel were discussing Mundine's shock exit. Ten probably wishes this was the case.

US singer Tiffany has shared the tragic reason that prompted her to go on Channel 10 I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here. Ahead of the Tucker trial on tonight’s episode, the ’80s pop icon got emotional when she described losing several loved ones, including her parents, to cancer in the past five years.

The third season of Australia's I ' m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here , which was commissioned by Network Ten on 1 August 2016, premiered on 29 January 2017. Casey Donovan won the series, beating Natalie Bassingthwaighte and footballer Dane Swan

I ' m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here ! returned to ITV for its seventh series on 12 November, and ran until 30 November 2007. Series 6 winner Matt Willis and his fiancée, Emma Griffiths, presented spin-off show I ' m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here !

Despite his controversial and often offensive views, the loss of Mundine is a huge blow to their star line-up and continued promotion of a 'rumble in the jungle' between Mundine and his boxing rival Danny Green.

There is no way they would have expected Mundine to throw the towel in so early, particularly given the big-budget promotions surrounding his presence on the show. It comes on top of the loss of tennis player Tomic, who was another household name for this series.

Host Julia Morris summed up Ten's situation at the end of Thursday night's episode when she said "what is going on? We have two people gone ... even before the eliminations have begun". Her co-host Chris Brown described it as "the season of shocks".

Clearly Ten's scriptwriters are flailing about for a new catchphrase for this year's series. Their real problem is, however, the "season of shocks" may have already happened within the first fortnight of viewing.

Adventure, reality-tv. ITV2's spin-off show featuring news, chat and behind-the-scenes footage.

The greatest challenge now facing I'm A Celebrity ... Get Me Out of Here! is actually a complete lack of shock factor. Without Mundine, without his rivalry with Green and without Tomic, it is starting to look a little bland.

Ten will no doubt rally to keep people interested despite the loss of two of the biggest names on the show. But at this early stage in the series, there is only one catchphrase they truly need to be concerned about: "I'm a viewer … get me out of here!"
