Nine's Today series has once again experienced a shake - up thanks to the arrival of new Weekend Today hosts Peter Stefanovic (L) and Allison Langdon (R). Jayne Azzopardi will also continue as the show 's newsreader.

Allison Langdon and Peter Stefanovic are the new hosts of Weekend Today.

Channel Nine confirmed that the former 60 Minutes reporters are taking over the helm from former co-hosts Tom Steinfort and Deborah Knight.

Allison, who was pipped to become Karl Stefanovic's side kick before Georgie Gardener got the honour, is very excited to be working with his little brother.

"I'm really excited to be joining the Weekend Today team."

Nine has announced a brand new line up for its Weekend Today show , with 60 Minutes reporters Allison Langdon and Peter Stefanovic to take the helm as co-hosts. Last year, Weekend Today was run by co-hosts Tom Steinfort and Deborah Knight.

The network seems particularly chuffed with their decision, with Nine's director of news Darren Wick remarking, "What a team to wake up with every weekend. The dynamics and professionalism of Ally, Pete and Jayne guarantees a relaxed and warm start to your weekend, and I couldn't be happier."

Despite the big shuffle, Jayne Azzopardi will also continue as the show's newsreader.

She's to become the face of Nine News' 6pm bulletin in Sydney on Friday and Saturday, as well as being weekday host Peter Overton's new stand-in.

Meanwhile Tom Steinfort, who joined Today in 2017, is moving to a full time role with 60 Minutes.

As for your weekday Today team, as confirmed last year, Karl Stefanovic and Georgie Gardener will be team captain with Sylvia Jefferys as the show's newsreader.

Karl's former co-host Lisa Wilkinson will join Carrie Bickmore, Waleed Aly and Peter Helliar on The Project after Australia Day.
