Top-end technology expected in upcoming OnePlus 5T smartphone

Top-end technology expected in upcoming OnePlus 5T smartphone The OnePlus 5T -- a larger and slightly boosted version of the OnePlus 5, launched in June 2017 -- is expected to land in November.  A first supposed picture of the phone was posted on Twitter by the usually well-informed American blogger Evan Blass. The OnePlus 5T pictured appears to have a borderless display, now a must-have feature for any high-end handset worthy of the name. In all likelihood, the OnePlus 5T will be in line for a 6-inch 18:9-format Full HD (2,160 x 1,080 pixels) AMOLED screen, up from 5.5 inches for the current OnePlus 5.

More pay for AFLW players in 2018

More pay for AFLW players in 2018 The AFLW's 240 players for 2018 will be contracted for more hours per week, especially during the pre-season, and receive a collective $500,000 pay boost. The AFL Players Association says the competition's 240 players for 2018 will be contracted to train an average of 13 hours a week during the pre-season and 10 hours per week throughout the in-season period.

Westworld , the mind-boggling theme park where dreams are built and fantasies are fulfilled, will swing its doors back open in the spring of 2018 . That’s according to lead star Evan Rachel Wood (Dolores Abernathy), who reaffirmed season 2 ’s vague release window via Twitter

But now, we can confirm that Spring 2018 is now being targeted for the show’s season 2 premiere , according to HBO’s full slate report. Jimmi Simpson and Evan Rachel Wood in Westworld (2016). Photo by John P. Johnson/HBO.

"Westworld" is re-opening sooner than expected.

The sci-fi drama premiered on HBO in October 2016 to acclaim, going on to earn 22 Emmy nominations. A second season was immediately ordered, but creators Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Joy were very up front that it would not be completed until 2018.

'Westworld' Season 2 to Premiere Spring 2018, According to Evan Rachel Wood: 'Westworld' Season 2 to Premiere Spring 2018, Acco... 'Westworld' Season 2 to Premiere Spring 2018, Acco... Many fans and industry observers believed HBO would debut Season 2 again in the fall, but star Evan Rachel Wood revealed that the park is coming back to life in the spring:

It looks like "Westworld" is taking the prestige Sunday night spring slot from "Game of Thrones," which generally premiered in April — until its most recent, seventh season, which debuted this past July. The latter show's final season will require even more intensive production and will likely not air until 2019 (perhaps retaking its spring slot).

Wood's news indicates that a recent halt in "Westworld" filming, due to a medical emergency, won't affect the production's timeline.

Not much is known about Season 2's plot. Nolan and Joy have teased the introduction of other "worlds," and one casting notice appeared to confirm the finale's brief glimpse of Samurai World. Jimmi Simpson, who plays William aka the young Man in Black, will return, as will Ben Barnes as Logan.

AFL adds AFLX to 2018 pre-season .
The AFL has officially added new hybrid game AFLX to the 2018 pre-season schedule. Dubbed the AFL's answer to cricket's Twenty20 format, AFLX is designed to be a fast-paced game played on soccer-sized fields.Three separate round-robin tournaments with six AFL clubs competing in each will be played at Adelaide's Hindmarsh Stadium, Etihad Stadium in Melbourne and Sydney's Allianz Stadium. In October, the pre-season series was cut from three rounds to two to accommodate AFLX, but the league held off announcing the move while remaining logistical issues were dealt with.
